1. We believe the King James 1611 (authorized version) Bible is the inerrant, infallible, verbally and plenary inspired Word of God preserved for the English-speaking world; and that it is the sole authority for all matters of faith and practice.

  2. We believe in the independent autonomous church.  It is the duty of the pastor to oversee the carrying out of God's commands, as described in 1 Peter 5:2-3 (Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.).  We accept no associational oversight.

  3. We believe in a regenerated church membership.  To become a member of this church, one must come to an acceptance of a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and then be immersed in baptism afterward.  We do not accept infant baptism, no do we believe that one can be physically born into the church.  Salvation is based on the acceptance of the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour.  The salvation of your parents, spouse, or other family members does not in any way save you.

  4. We believe Christ gave two ordinances to the church - baptism by immersion of believers only, and the Lord's Supper as a memorial of Christ's death and of his second coming.

  5. We believe in the Priesthood of all believers and in soul liberty.  By this we mean that each individual believer may go before the Lord freely as his own representative.  We need no priest or other intercessory to take our prayers to the Lord.  We are responsible only to God for our doctrine, practice, and conscience.

  6. We believe in the separation of church and state; in that, while the authority of the state is recognized as a human authority, the state has no authority in our spiritual lives.

  7. We believe in the Trinity:  God the Father, God the Son in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Ghost, three yet one, all fully God as noted in 1 John 5:7 (For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. ).

  8. We believe in the incarnation, virgin birth, sinless life, death, burial, resurrection, and substitutionary atonement of Jesus Christ.

  9. We believe in the pretribulation return for His saints and with His saints at the Revelation.  We believe in the literal, physical millennial reign of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  10. We believe that man is a sinner, lost by nature and by divine decree, therefore in need of the convicting and regenerating ministry of the Holy Ghost.

  11. We believe in salvation through faith in the blood and finished atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ.  We also believe that salvation is eternally secure through His righteousness and not through any works of our own.

  12. We believe in a literal heaven and a literal place of fire, brimstone, and torments called hell.

  13. We believe in the ministry of the Holy Ghost; that He convicts the sinner, regenerates the believer, and that He indwells, seals, instructs, reproves, and guides the believer.

  14. We believe the miracles, signs, and gifts to belong primarily to Israel.  That is dispensationally speaking, and that these signs as practiced by the Charismatics and Apostolics are exercised mainly in the flesh, are most often fraudulent, and sometimes demonic and devilish in nature.  Most of the actions of their followers are based on FEELINGS, and not on BIBLICAL FACTS.  We believe the miracle of TONGUES is not for believers, were a sign for the Jews, never to have been done by a woman, never to have been done by more than one individual at a time, and never to have been done without understanding of the recipient or without a translator.  Biblical tongues is nothing more than having an interpreter while someone speaks another language.

This Statement of Faith is not negotiable and may not be changed at any time, even by a majority vote.  This is a Baptist Church and will remain so until the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.
